VenaSeal Treatment for Leg Vein Disease

What is VenaSeal™?
VenaSeal™ is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a specially formulated medical adhesive to seal off damaged veins. Once the vein is closed, blood is naturally rerouted to healthier veins, improving circulation and relieving symptoms.
Unlike traditional treatments, VenaSeal™ does not rely on heat or laser energy, making it a more comfortable option for many patients.

What Conditions Does VenaSeal™ Treat?
VenaSeal™ is designed to treat:
- Varicose veins
- Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI)
- Venous reflux (backward blood flow in the veins)
- Leg swelling, heaviness, and fatigue
- Skin changes or ulcers related to vein disease

Benefits of VenaSeal™
Patients often choose VenaSeal™ because it offers:
- No heat or thermal energy
- Minimal discomfort during treatment
- Fewer needle injections compared to other procedures
- No need for tumescent anesthesia
- Little to no downtime
- Quick return to normal activities
- No compression stockings required in many cases
How The Procedure Works
Step 1: Catheter is placed in the vein
Using an ultrasound, your doctor will position a catheter into the diseased vein through a small access site.
Step 2: Specialized adhesive is placed
A specially formulated medical adhesive is placed in the diseased vein via a small catheter.
Step 3: Light external pressure is applied
Light external pressure is applied to adhere the vein walls together. This step is repeated for the length of the vein.
Step 4: Catheter is removed
The catheter is removed and a single adhesive bandage is applied to the vein access site.

What to Expect After Treatment
- Most patients resume normal activities the
same day - Mild soreness or bruising may occur but
resolves quickly - Significant symptom relief is often noticed
within days to weeks - Cosmetic improvement continues over time
as the vein is absorbed by the body
