Types of Cardiac Testing

Coronary Artery Calcium (CAC)

A coronary calcium score is a non-contrast CT scan used to evaluate early evidence of plaque and heart disease in asymptomatic patients.

Coronary CT Angiogram

A coronary CT angiogram is an effective and noninvasive CT test that uses contrast dye to detect blockages within the heart arteries.

Cardiac SPECT or PET

The most advanced form of cardiac imaging available allowing for real-time assessment of blood flow within the heart during stress to locate blockages.

Stress Test

Cardiac performance is evaluated under stress with exercise using ECG to detect electrical abnormalities as well as heart pump function with real-time cardiac ultrasound.

Echocardiogram

An echocardiogram is an ultrasound of the heart that evaluates the heart’s structure and function. It provides valuable insight into the heart muscle condition and the valves.

Electrocardiogram (ECG)

An electrocardiogram is a noninvasive test that measures your heart’s electrical activity, detecting irregular heart rhythms or signs of a heart attack.

Cardiac Monitor

A cardiac monitor is a portable device that continuously records your heart’s electrical activity for an extended period, from 24 hours to 30 days.
